Description: This was a WILD fossil hunting trip to another brand new location! We did not know what to expect when we started this day, but it turned out to be one of the most successful fossil hunting trips we've had in a while! It is very, very rare for a scouting/exploration trip to yield this many excellent finds, but this little creek is loaded with fossils, literally paving the bottom and banks everywhere we looked. In all, we found at least 20 megalodon teeth, not to mention all of the fossils from giant crocodiles, elephant-like animals called gomphotheres, extinct three-toed horses, camels, a rhino, whales/dolphins, dugongs and tons of other species of shark besides megalodon.
